While You Were Away... the Deployment Journal for Kids, specially curated to help children understand and identify their feelings and emotions during deployment.

The 100-page journal is divided into three sections:

• Section 1: Calming Techniques (breathwork, yoga, and identifying emotions)
• Section 2: Monthly Activities (family game ideas, coloring, and journaling)
• Section 3: Homecoming (preparing child for re-integration)

By engaging children in creative and engaging activities, as well as learning to identify their feelings and emotions, our hope is that this helps foster resilience and comfort during this time apart.
